How do you erase only on item from your google toolbar?

I want to learn how to erase only one item from my google toolbar at a time. If I right-click I can erase the entire search history, and I can delete the one item for the moment, but technically it is still there (like when you type the letter L in the google bar and all the words that have been googled that start with an L drop down). Any ideas?|||The search box in the Google toolbar uses search terms pulled from Google, not your previous searches. When you start typing a word, like "turbo" it shows you the most popular searches that other people have typed into Google. They are "instant suggestions".
