How to turn off the history suggestion in the google search toolbar in Internet Explorer 8?

Does anybody know how to turn off the history suggestion in the google search toolbar in Internet Explorer 8. I don't mean the searching history but the website history thats stored. It's driving me insane please help!|||go to your google toolbar, click the downwards pointing arrow and click clear history. Alternatively, go to the google homepage, type a,b,c,d,e,f,g through the alphabet and everytime hover your cursor over each word/website and click delete.|||I've been looking for an answer to the same question. Apparently it's a big issue with Internet Explorer 8, and it's driving a lot of people crazy. It shows recent searches, browsing history, recently viewed pages, pulls up items from the Favorites Menu, Windows searches, and also lists Search Suggestions.

The same thing happens from both the Address Bar and the Quick Search box.

The only thing that users can control are the search suggestions. To turn search suggestions off, click the down arrow beside your Search Box. Select "Manage Search Providers". Highlight %26amp; right-click your search provider. On the menu, check "Disable Suggestions".

There are no settings in IE 8 that will turn off all of the other junk that drops down, so our browsing history, recent searches, recently viewed pages, Favorites, - everything - will continue to show when you strike a key to type in a URL or do a search.

I'm thinking of going back to IE 7 because of this.|||on the google toolbar, click the wrench icon, then uncheck the boxes, for the nav bar for ie, tools, internet options, content tab, autocomplete settings, uncheck in there.|||It is very simple.

Click on the arrow pointing down ( at extreme right).

Click on Manage search providers.

Under 'search providers' you will see 'Enabled'

Right click on it to Disable.
